Yesterday, May 25th, John F. Kennedy celebrated it's 2022 graduation. As we close out the year I want to take this last blog opportunity to highlight the amazing work of our YESS Seniors. As their final each class chose to work on a painting that represented them both as individuals and as mentors in our classroom. Please scroll through to see their awesome work.
The above painting comes from the 2nd period Seniors. This class though, generally quiet, was never afraid to speak out and to create real relationships with each other and their mentees.
Where to begin with 7th? They were truly chaotic in the best way. These Seniors were immediately leaders in their class. They built each other and their mentees up and were fiercley loyal to each other.
Last, and certainly not least, 8th. This class only had three Senior students, but you can clearly see the talent they posess. Always quiet and kind the 8th period students were always a joy to have in class.
Each of these paintings represents the YESS students who walked across the stage yesterday. They were the Seniors of our first year at Kennedy, they are the students that have helped me build out our program and navigate these waters. While we are proud to see them move on their impact on the YESS program at Kennedy will remain. Best of luck to the Class of 2022!
