Happy New Year!

For many of us the last month of 2021 was a bit of a whirlwind and our program at Kennedy was no exception to that. We spent much of the time we had before Winter break focusing on catching up as well as on the students' social justice projects.

For their final YESS students worked on a mini-research project on a social justice issue they care about. This included a background slide, as well as slides on Denver's relationship to their topic, and what they think should be solutions moving forward. Many of these topics were not easy to talk about, but students addressed it head on with thoughtfulness and compassion. As we move into this new year I look forward to seeing how they take that mentality forward.
